New friends!

The good news this week is that my girlfriend Nell, has made a full recovery from her sore paw last week. We went for a great walk over the fields, it was fantastic being able to run and have fun again!

I met some new friends this week… a couple of swans have appeared on our village pond, they seem pretty cool and don’t mind me barking at them, they even came closer…. I think they want to be friends with me, so I’m going to visit them most days when I go for my walk around the village.

I think they may be building a nest in the middle of the pond so keep your fingers crossed for some baby news over the coming weeks!

A poorly paw!

I’ve had to change my plans this weekend after Nell, my girlfriend, developed a poorly paw. We were supposed to be going out together to the West Country Game Fair but we had to cancel when Nell hurt her paw. She’s be in a lot of pain for a few days so I had a look to see what the problem might be… she told me she thinks she has stepped on a thorn but I couldn’t see anything. The Vet has given her some painkillers, and she’ll have to go back if it doesn’t get better. I hope she’s OK soon coz I love a good run across the fields with her. A dogs life can be very worrying sometimes!

Riding in my car!

Don’t know why I’m made to walk everywhere – the car is the place to be. Things rush by, the wind pins back my ears and rushes up my nose. Went to a garden centre today. Was stroked and fussed over by lots of people. Had some cake in the cafe and managed to gobble down some horse manure as we left. Excellent day out.

Mystery solved…!

I’ve been very worried about Ollie the Owl since last week’s discovery that he had gone missing.

And then I remembered…., he went home with ‘cousin’ Luna at Christmas, after the “accident”. Well, she dared me to bite his wing off, so I did. After that he wouldn’t have anything to do with me and went everywhere with Luna. He even slept in her bed!

So now he’s living happily on the south coast and Luna looks after him. (She sent me photo). I do miss him, but I can’t blame him for wanting to go home with Luna. I hope he will still be OK with me when I go to visit.

By the way… the wing reappeared a few days later when I was sick at 5.30am!!

My toy box…

It’s been a miserable rainy day, so thought I’d do a stock check on my toy box. Upon closer examination various tails, ears, noses, legs and wings are missing, but then I’ve noticed that a whole toy has gone…. Ollie the Owl is missing!
